Brad Hudspeth

Bio: Brad Hudspeth grew up in Kansas playing different sports and spending time outdoors. After being injured, Hudspeth discovered wheelchair rugby in 2016 when the Kansas City Revolution team was established, and he never looked back. While he may be newer to the sport than some of his teammates, he is quickly making an impact on the court. Hudspeth’s first year on the national team culminated in him representing Team USA twice — at the International Wheelchair Rugby Cup in Paris, France and the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile. Hudspeth says his favorite thing about the sport is the sense of family he feels with his teammates and the USAWR staff, which is fitting considering his focus off the court is on family. Back home, you’ll usually find him and his wife running one or more of their four children to sports practices or games. His kids keep him pretty busy, but when he has some downtime, Hudspeth also enjoys working on projects around his house and spending time with friends.
