Joe Delagrave

Bio: Joe Delagrave’s wheelchair rugby career has been a long and storied one, but over the past 13 years, one thing has eluded him – a Paralympic gold medal. With the support of his teammates and family, he is looking to achieve that dream in Tokyo. As a former football player, it was the physicality of wheelchair rugby that drew him to the sport, but it is now his desire to be a good role model for his kids and a leader on the U.S. Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby team that keeps him driven. When he’s off the court, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids and is a keynote speaker and coach for the Navy Wounded Warrior wheelchair rugby sports program.
