Josh Wheeler

Bio: Josh Wheeler is another veteran wheelchair rugby player, heading to Tokyo with 12 years of experience on the national team. And now, after a long year of no competition and few in-person practices with his teammates, he is ready to head to Tokyo and finally face off against the other top athletes in the world. Wheeler was first introduced to the sport by one of his physical therapists. His love of competition and drive to be the very best he can be keeps him motivated when he is away from home and his family. With his wife and two kids cheering him on from home, Wheeler is going to Tokyo with a drive and determination to reclaim the gold after 2016’s tough loss to Australia.
