The final game of day one of the GIO 2018 IWRF World Championship featured the number two world-ranked Americans vs. the current number fourteen, Colombia. Leading 32-14 at the half, the U.S. maintained a strong lead wire to wire in their 2018 World Championships debut with a final score of 58-32.
12 top ranked IWRF teams will battle it out this week at Australia’s Quaycentre (formerly the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre) and the Genea Netball Centre. This is the largest adapted sports event hosted in Sydney since the 2000 Paralympic Games where the U.S. captured gold.
The Americans will be back on the court at 10:30 p.m. CDT Sunday, August 5th against Great Britain. Watch the livestream here.
