Wednesday in Australia marked the only day that the Americans would take the court for two matches at the GIO 2018 IWRF World Championship. First up, Poland.
Ranked 17th in the world, Poland picked up a win earlier in the week besting Canada 45-43. The U.S. held a strong lead throughout the opening quarters running multiple lines. At the end of the first half the Eagles were up 23-13. The second half featured consistent, balanced play from the U.S. squad who finished with the win, beating Poland 47-33.
Tune back in here at 3:30 a.m. CST Wednesday, August 8th to watch the U.S. in their last pool play game as they face Canada. At the same time, Australia will see Japan in the final game in Pool A. Like the Americans, Australia and Japan come into their final game undefeated.
