USA Wheelchair Rugby Names 2017 Training Squad

USA Wheelchair Rugby is pleased to announce the 16 athletes that have been selected to the National Training Squad for 2017.

This is the first national training squad selection for James Adams, Jake Daily, Joe Jackson, Talbot Kennedy, and Tim Vixay.  They join several experienced athletes including seven who represented the team in Rio.  “25 athletes began this exciting journey this weekend, ” said Coach James Gumbert.  “We have an incredible mixture of youth and veterans and we will constantly challenge ourselves to reinvent the wheel and have the best wheels possible.”

The training squad will next meet for an April training camp at Lakeshore Foundation, the High Performance Management Organization for USA Wheelchair Rugby. At that camp, 12 athletes will be selected to compete at the Americas Zonals later this year.
