USAWR Announces Quad Nations Roster

USA Wheelchair Rugby will travel to Cardiff, Wales for Wheelchair Rugby Quad Nations April 16-18. This will be the second competition of the season for USAWR leading to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games August 28 to September 8. The roster is composed of 12 athletes selected from the 16-person National Training Squad. Team USA will face stiff competition from a trio of nations – 2020 Paralympic champion Great Britain, 2023 European champion France and 2023 Asia-Oceania champion Japan. The four competitors were the first to qualify a spot to the Paris 2024 Paralympics and will look to capitalize on this preparatory competition.

“Quad Nations is always a great competition,” says USAWR Head Coach Joe Delagrave. “The loud crowd and atmosphere will give us a taste of what we can expect in Paris. This tournament provides us another opportunity to work with lineups and fine-tune our game.”

Following Quad Nations, the training squad will gather for a training camp at Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham, AL, May 15-19 before traveling to Vancouver, British Columbia for the Canada Cup, June 6-9.
