USAWR Selects 2015 Parapan American Games Team

USA Wheelchair Rugby on June 22, 2015

Nearly fifty days ago, USAWR selected 15 athletes to the Parapan American Games training squad.  Since then, this group of 15 have attended two training camps and competed for a spot to attend the 2015 Parapan American Games this August in Toronto. This will be the first time that wheelchair rugby has made an appearance at the Parapan American Games, which makes this even more important. The games will also serve as the qualifier for Rio 2016, so there is a lot riding on our performance. We are extremely excited about this opportunity to compete in an International Games setting outside of the Paralympics and feel we have chose the best 12 athletes to represent USA. The following athletes will be competing in Toronto for a gold medal and an automatic bid to compete at the 2016 Paralympic Games.  Congratulations!
